The Fatea Showcase Sessions are designed to provide greater exposure to artists that have impressed the Fatea team. Some are already signed, others are carving a solo trail, releasing songs on their own labels, all are dedicated to their music.
Fatea Showcase Sessions are exclusively available for a three month period after which they will never be available again. The Fatea Showcase Sessions are zip files containing high quality, 256kbs, drm free, mp3s.

Cormorant Tree Oh – Terror Of The Countryside
Mary here, alias Cormorant Tree Oh, and I am a multi-disciplinary artist and musician from Dublin, Ireland. I take inspiration from folk, psychedelia, horror soundtracks and nature field recordings, though I would say experimenting with instruments I don’t really know how to play is what shapes my sound the most.
Simon Howard – Love On The Run
Contemporary country-folk artist Simon Howard weaves evocative narratives with his passionate heartfelt vocals. After a transformative summer spent writing in the solitude of Texas, he returned home to share his unique blend of folk storytelling and country instrumentation.

The Ashen Keys – Gathering
The Ashen Keys combine their love of folk, pop, blues, classical and early music to explore themes ranging from the ancient and mythic through to the complexities of modern relationships – all the while rooting themselves in a love of nature and humanity. When band members are not performing, you might see them wandering around the Kentish woodlands, seeking out orchids and mother trees.
Liz Simmons – Wander Free
Liz Simmons (known for her work with roots band Low Lily) is an award-winning songwriter from Vermont, USA. Liz has performed in a duo with Hannah Sanders, and as backing vocalist for folk legends Melanie, Tom Chapin, and Livingston Taylor.
Hands of the Heron – Picturing Myself
Hands of the Heron are a psychfolk trio from Bristol. They move effortlessly between sparse choral folk and shimmering instrumental textures, with interlocking vocal harmonies forming a constant thread running through the various hues of their dreamlike, mercurial songs.

Macdara Yeates – Rocking The Cradle
Macdara Yeates is a folk singer from Dublin, self-described on his Instagram profile as a “singer of auld songs, doer of projects, and part to blame for ‘The Night Before Larry Got Stretched.’” “It’s probably a bit of a mouthful in hindsight—most people just call it ‘Larry’—but it’s the name of our singing session in The Cobblestone.”

Saul Bailey and Mitch Keely are an Oxford-based duo lead by experimentation and curiosity. Their debut album, Atthomis, released in 2024 with Scribe Records, hauls traditional folk into the modern age with reworked English tunes, original compositions and improvisations.

Dark and Twisties are Sarah Birch, Kate Ronconi, Sarah Passmore, Danny Kilbride and Huw Rees, bringing stories old and new, woven into strange and beautiful songs with their glorious harmonies and skilful musicianship.

Liz Overs – Prayer To The Year
Liz Overs is songwriter and singer of traditional folk from Sussex, where she hosted a radio show covering the folklore and music of the county. Her debut album Nightjar is due out in March on CD and vinyl, available from Bandcamp and her website.
Kyson Point – Dark River
Kyson Point is husband and wife duo Kelly Bayfield and David Edward Booth. Contemporary folk music inspired by the wide open Suffolk skies where Kelly and David live, the rugged Pennine hills of David’s High Peak roots, classic Laurel Canyon singer songwriters and the stories and moods found all around us in the natural world.
Erica & The Wildebeest – Shipping Forecast
South African born singer songwriter Erica Steenkamp with guitarist Christopher Newland. Keeping things simple, writing songs and playing as many gigs as possible. “Shipping Forecast” celebrates one hundred years of radio broadcasting.
